As a parent, you’ll know that trying to keep your kids’ clothes clean is no easy task.
But now you won’t need to worry, as one mum has revealed a money and time-saving hack that make getting even the most stubborn stains out of your little one’s clothes easy.
Chelsey Whiston from Lancashire was determined to remove a stain from her son’s favourite Toy Story T-shirt, but none of her usual cleaning products were working.
Then, the mum-of-two discovered a trick that got rid of the stain for good – and you don’t have to spend a penny.
Chelsey told money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk : “I came across the sunlight stain remover tip when I posted for help on Facebook.
“My son had spilt his ice lolly down his top and I’d tried everything, including Vanish, Elbow Grease and Pink Stuff cleaning products and nothing removed it.
“A few people said try sunlight as they heard it removed stains,” so the 27-year-old decided to give it a go for herself – and she couldn’t believe the results.
She washed the top, put it on the washing line to dry and by the time she came back to check on it, the stain had come out – and it even works on stubborn grass stains.
Chelsey said: “I was very surprised and now do this with all the clothes the kids’ stain.”
If the stain hasn’t completely faded, Chelsey said to repeat the trick.
Chelsey is delighted with her new hack – and best of all, the fact that it doesn’t cost a penny.
“It has saved me money not only in cleaning products but in replacing the clothes,” she adds. “I would highly recommend it!”
Tom Church, co-founder of LatestDeals.co.uk , said: “With the rise in popularity of ‘cleanfluencers’ such as Mrs Hinch, many of us are spending cash on products that promise to keep our homes spotless.
“But some of the best cleaning tips are totally free – such as Chelsey’s genius stain removal trick.
“It couldn’t be more simple or affordable to leave clothes out in the sun and let nature do the hard work!”
